Speaking about getting new gadget. Finally got off my ass and look for some headphones reviews on iPodlounge. I’ve settled on the Shure E3c which looks (and should sounds) pretty cool. They certainly should sound better than my current white Sony MDR-EX70SL Asian import. I think I will miss the asymmetric behind-the-head wires and shorten signal wire to use with remote control though.

And they aren’t cheap! But if I had those it would just make me go and re-encode all my 128 MP3s, so I’m better off.

Got them yesterday and all I can say is ‘WOW’. This headphones reminds me of what better speakers can do versus cheap ones. Clarity is almost matching free standing speakers. Bass is tight without being overwhelming. Though that depends on the fit of the ear buds in my ears. I had to try out many combination of the rubber/form buds before finding the good one.
