Leah and I went to Dido’s concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York. It was a tour de force of a performance with Dido delivering note perfect vocals as well as some very interesting percussions and lighting arrangements.
The concert was kicked off with a long percussion intro that reminded me of the Blue Man Group. Then it mixed into one of Dido’s song perfectly giving us, the audience, quite a surprise.
Over the course of the next hour and a half, Dido intermixed many different music styles into her otherwise mellow songs. They range from fast dance rhythms to Africa drum beats, and from Brazillian Samba beats to rock guitar ad-lib.
Absolutely great performance and I ranked her concert as one of the best I’ve been.
