I finally got an invite to a Gmail account, thanks to Spread Firefox. But now that I have a Gmail address I am not sure what I am going to do with it. I already have three ‘normal’ email addresses that I use regularly so a forth one really doesn’t make much difference. And since Gmail does not have POP3 access (yet) so it is not as convenient to use compare to my regular emails.

if I knew you wanted a gmail-account… I have around 10 invites 🙂 my reaction was just like yours btw, I wanted a gmail account and when I finally got one I just didn’t know what to do with it. I use my gmail adress mainly on the internet so I can save my “real” e-mail adress from getting tons of spam. gmail’s spam filters seem to work quite good.

Well I wasn’t desperate for a Gmail account, and I already have an email address that I use for spam collection 🙂 So right now the Gmail address isn’t really being used at all…

I use my gmail to read my mail. I forward all my mail to it so I only have to use one “application” and I can read all my mail from wherever I am.

I used to do that with my .mac account last year when I was traveling for work/vacation. Good suggestion though as Gmail has so much more storage space and the interface is better than .mac (IMO).
