Very cool idea, this iFlex is. I would so want this if I have a iSight.
New Kung-Log is coming
Adriaan, creator of Kung-Log, has announced that a new version of Kung-Log, called ‘ecto’, is forthcoming. I’ve been using Kung-Log to blog to TypePad for awhile now and it is a very handy little application. Apparently the new version will no longer be donate-ware but will charge a small fee. I, for one, will be more than happy to pay for Adriaan’s hard work. I would know, as I am also writing a blogging tool 😉
True Handwriting Recognition (almost)
Previously I’ve discussed my preference on input methods in PDA/Cellphone. But this new handwriting recognition software, Decuma, is really something else. No longer there is the need to learn special writings like Graffiti. It can recognize natural handwriting, though not 100 percent perfect. It has problem recognizing my ‘f’ and ‘i’ but after I entered a custom ‘mapping’, it works great. I do have problem ‘unlearning’ my graffiti muscle memory and occasionally write that into Decuma!
If I were not waiting to get the P900 next year I would not hesitate in buying Decuma for my Clie.
Auto clean up in Mac software
What is with this automatic clean up (move to Trash) process employed by some of the Mac software developers? Take VueScan as an example (there are many others), I’ve just downloaded the latest version which is a piece of great software. When the disk image file is downloaded, an automatic process performs the followings:
- Mount the disk image
- Copy the folders and/or files inside the disk image to the current folder (in my case, the Desktop)
- Dismount the disk image
- Move the original disk image file to Trash
Atom API supports in MovableType/TypePad
For the past few weeks I have been working on a .NET blogging tool that is closely tight to the MovableType API. That is, a mixture of Blogger API, MetaWeblog API, and MovableType API. All of these use XML-RPC API as the communication specification between the client and the server.
