I hate journalism when…

they get the basic facts wrong! CNN/Money today has an article, Virgin to join the online music fray, where at the end of the article it is mentioned that Richard Branson had to sell his Virgin Music Group to EMI in ’92 to launch his airline.

Wrong! He sold Virgin Music Group to fund Virgin Atlantic, which was launched in ’84, so it won’t go under. Basic fact, my friends…

I’ve been searching for new glasses on and off for at least couple of years. I have been putting off replacing my 5 years old glasses this year until now because my lack of saving. But now that my saving is back to more respectable level, I am back onto the trail of new glasses.

You know Ferrari is losing when…

… they stop fighting on the track and start fighting through the FIA court. You don’t see Williams or McLaren doing this, do you? And it is not like there wasn’t a track record. It was Ferrari who got the FIA to ban CVT (Continuous Velocity Transmission, a technology that the Williams team was working on as the next killer technology), before it was even used in a race car. Then it was, again, Ferrari who fought and got McLaren’s Brake-Assisted Steering banned after just a few races.

And finally:
“We just want a fair playing field,” added Brawn, ” and it was clearly not a fair playing field.”

Toothless Tiger

Finished reading Tom Clancy’s The Teeth of the Tiger this weekend. Hugely disappointing. The book feels like Tom Clancy decides to publish his manuscript after he has written 1/3 of the story. May be that was his intention after all.
