Poem and computer

Leah has posted a poem about my computer usage and me on her blog. And it is pretty close to the truth and funny! She has vowed to blog more consistently this year as part of her new year resolutions. We shall see…

A must have for any writer/blogger

Bryson’s Dictionary of Troublesome Words is a must have for any writer/blogger who cares about grammargrammars and the correct use of words. I will be keeping a copy of this book close-by wherever I go…

TypeWriter Dev Log

To better separate my personal blog with TypeWriter development I’ve started a new site TypeWriter Dev Log for anything to do with code.

Update: TypeWriter has changed and now known as ecto.

Friend of a friend (FOAF) and blogging networking

From the Six Apart weblog, Six Log, I’ve discovered a new social networking application for weblog authors called Plink. Well, at least for authors who have a FOAF XML file defined.

I’ve added my profile to their list and so far no one is connected to me, yet. But it can be very interesting to find out who is connected to who as this list grows. So I encourage all of you, who use TypePad or already have FOAF XML file generated by your blogging tool, to add yourself to the Plink list.

Of course the irony here is that this I’ve found this FOAF application via Six Apart’s weblog, whose company name, I think, plays on the phrase, “Six Degrees of Separation”.

New Kung-Log is coming

Adriaan, creator of Kung-Log, has announced that a new version of Kung-Log, called ‘ecto’, is forthcoming. I’ve been using Kung-Log to blog to TypePad for awhile now and it is a very handy little application. Apparently the new version will no longer be donate-ware but will charge a small fee. I, for one, will be more than happy to pay for Adriaan’s hard work. I would know, as I am also writing a blogging tool 😉
